Single and Loving It: Celebrities Who Have No Intention of Saying I Do

Hollywood has its crazy drama here and there, but behind it all, celebrities are just people looking for love…. or not! Heres a list of celebrities who are surprisingly unmarried.

Some of them want to tie the knot, but a majority of this group think about marriage in a whole new way. You’d be a miracle worker if you got them to say “I do,” let alone put on a wedding gown.  Here are the reasons these stars stay single and couldn’t be happier.

Monica Lewinksy

This name began to surface in the media over two decades ago, following a controversial scandal she was involved in with U.S. president, Bill Clinton. Catching up with the American activist, we learn she never married and that her love life hasn’t been booming over the years.

Lewinsky likes to keep a low profile with regards to her love life, but one thing she did reveal was that marriage is not an absolute no-go for the star, perhaps she just hasn’t discovered “the one” yet. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll hear of Lewinsky tying the knot with the love of her life.

Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow is perhaps best known for her role as a political commentator and as the driving force behind her very own show, The Rachel Maddow Show. And while much of her time is filled with her show and her overall career in the limelight, that doesn’t mean that she has no time for love.

Rachel has been in a long-term relationship with her partner, Susan Mikula since 1999 – but why haven’t they got hitched? Well, according to Rachel they just don’t feel like they have to. She has noted that she feels no rush to get married and that “I feel that gay people not being able to get married for generations, forever, meant that we came up with alternative ways of recognizing relationships.”

Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter is certainly a woman of many opinions, and this has thrust her into the spotlight as a best-selling author, media pundit, and political commentator. While many people are interested to hear what Ann has to say about the goings-on in the world, there are others who just want to know about her personal life. Mostly, they want to know why she’s still unmarried.

Although Ann hasn’t specifically spoken out about her stance on marriage, she has been engaged numerous times in the past – which leads us to believe that she simply hasn’t found the right guy. Although former partners have been able to put a temporary ring on it, none of them got her to walk down the aisle before they broke things off.

Andrea Tantaros

Andrea Tantaros is a political analyst on Fox News, so there’s a big chance you’ve seen her on TV at one point in your life. She co-hosted “Outnumbered” and is the original co-host of “The Five,” and there are any people out there who would love to date her.

Although she hasn’t ever been married, she was in a relationship with the actor and singer, Dave Navarro since 2015. Dave was married three times in the past so perhaps the reason he’s not getting married a fourth time is that he’s over the whole idea of putting a ring on it.

Chelsea Handler

This American show host and comedian is THE social butterfly of Hollywood. Her closest friend is Jennifer Aniston. Although Chelsea was active on the dating scene for quite some time, she’s never been married and she’s got her own reasons for that. Handler mentioned that she finds the idea of marriage to be commercial.

She even went as far as to compare it to murder. If you were hoping to see this hilarious bombshell in a wedding dress, you better give up. Her views won’t budge and it seems as though she’s going to be staying single and ready to flamingle for the rest of her life. At least she’s sticking to her own views.

Kylie Minogue

This Aussie declared that she’s not giving up on relationship any time soon. We’re all wondering what this beauty is not married. Kylie explained that it took her a while to recover after the break of her engagement to Joshua Sasse.

Kylie adds that knowing herself, she’ll probably be foolish again. She said she never imagined herself being the marriage-type. But that doesn’t mean that she’s not the relationship type. Kylie is currently in a relationship with Paul Solomons and they’ve been together since 2018. There are still no wedding bells on the horizon, though.

Fabio Lanzoni

This one is definitely the most strange reason for not wanting to get married. Well, Fabio technically claims that he did get married, but not to a human woman. In fact, Fabio proudly professes that his wedding day was the day he became an American citizen.

In an interview with AOL, Fabio told them that “[he] married my beautiful bride [when [he] became a citizen]. It was like my wedding day.” We guess Lady Liberty is the only woman he needs in his life because Fabio has rarely been linked to anyone romantically. Maybe he’s just happier that way?

Helena Bonham Carter

This English actress/ comedian became famous for her outstanding roles in the movies “Absolutely Fabulous” and “Out-Numbered.” The actress never married although she’s mentioned that she would like to – but it seems as though she’s not exactly the most conventional romantic.

Helena Bonham Carter was in a relationship with the esteemed filmmaker Tim Burton for 13 years until they broke up in 2014. And while they even welcomed a family together, they never got hitched and they even lived in separate houses. They bought houses right next door to each other because neither of them enjoyed the constraints of their relationship.

Jon Hamm

This hunk is surprisingly single. However, he did date Jennifer Westfeldt for 18 years. Before they split up he said: “I don’t have the marriage chip, and neither of us has the greatest examples of marriage in our families. But Jen is the love of my life.”

That relationship sadly came to an end and he hasn’t been linked to anyone since. We’re not sure what is going on or why someone hasn’t snapped him up just yet, but it seems as though Jon just isn’t about that relationship life. Some people prefer being alone, and Hamm seems to be one of them.

Camilla Cabello

The “Havana” artist who released a single that we can’t get out of our heads may be taken by Canadian singer Shawn Mendes, but it seems as though wedding bells won’t be on the horizon anytime soon. After a former boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage when she was 18, she vowed to keep a focus on her career instead.

So now Camilla is focusing on her career while also putting on some serious PDA with her boyfriend. The couple seems completely in love, but they have never mentioned anything about getting hitched. Both of their careers are coming first for them right now.

Charlize Theron

The South African actress we all love is surprisingly unmarried. Charlize isn’t single because she’s too busy with work. She’s been in several long-term relationships in her life that just never ended up with a diamond ring and a wedding dress.

Her last relationship was with Sean Penn. The two split up during a promotional tour for Mad Max. And after experiencing a few heartbreaks, Charlize has decided to focus on her career. She’s recently stated that marriage is just not a priority for her at the moment.

Sheryl Crow

If it makes her happy then she shouldn’t be sad. Sheryl Crow had been in many relationships in the past but she’s super careful about tying the knot. Sure, she may have dated the likes of Lance Armstrong, Eric Clapton, and Owen Wilson, but that doesn’t mean that she’s ready to walk down the aisle.

Sheryl explains that she thinks marriage is something that should never be broken. That’s why she’s going slow in her love life. She wants to get married to the one, and she hasn’t found him yet. In fact, she’s been single since 2006.

Susan Sarandon

Susan is one of the celebrities we can’t believe tied the knot. She dated Tm Robins for twenty-one years. Together they had two children and then shocked everyone when they split up in 2009. Although she was never officially married, she lived like a married woman for quite some time. But now she’s single.

In 2021, Susan actually spoke on a podcast about her relationship status and her needs in a partner. She noted that “I don’t care if it’s a man or a woman. I mean, I’m open to all age, all color. And those for me, those things are just details.” So maybe there will be someone on the horizon.

Hugh Grant

Hugh is a father of five beautiful children. Contrary to our society’s social constructs, not every father is a husband. And Grant has never said “I do,” to any woman in his life. He doesn’t think it’s necessary so he’s just carrying on with his life with his long-term partner. But his romantic life hasn’t always been so carefree.

Grant had his children with multiple women, and he’s also gone back and forth a few times to his former girlfriends. But we guess he just knows what he likes in a woman, which is why he keeps falling back in love with the loves of his past.

Lauryn Hill

The lead singer of the Fugees and solo artist never tied the knot. She dated Bob Marley’s son for over 15 years but the relationship didn’t work out and they split up when she got pregnant with her sixth child whose father is unknown.

According to sources, Rohan Marley wanted to get married but Lauryn did not. So, she’s stayed single and focused on her career and raising her children instead. This seems to work for the singer and is something she is rather content with. And that’s all that matters, right?

Leonardo DiCaprio

Dicaprio is not against marriage. He just never found “the one.” However, he’s a real hopeless romantic and is waiting for his love to come his way. Many of his relationships failed because of his busy schedules, but he does believe it will happen for him one way or another. And he certainly has no trouble finding girlfriends, anyway.

Leo is constantly spotted onboard luxurious yachts with younger models and girlfriends. And while they never normally stick around too much, you can’t deny the fact that this man has got game. And we don’t really blame the women who want to date him. Who wouldn’t?

Diane Keaton

Keaton’s quirky style and overall unique look give her an edge over the rest of the Hollywood women. She’s dated A-list actors such as Jack Nicholson and Warren Betty, and she even dated Woody Allen for a year back in 1970. However, she claims that Al Pacino is the one who got away.

Maybe that’s the reason she declares a full opposition to marriage. Diana is now living her best life as a mother and activist, and she seems to be happy living as a single woman. She has noted that “I don’t think that because I’m not married it’s made my life any less. That old maid myth is garbage.”

Tyra Banks

Banks says you should never let a man make you miss a day of work. Maybe it’s this mindset that prevented her from getting married. The top model was in a relationship with Erik Alsa, who was also the father of her child, but she’s now single again.

Tyra has always noted that she doesn’t believe that marriage makes a person happy. She feels complete without it, and there’s no doubt about the fact that she has achieved so much in her life. Who knows where she would be if she had gotten married?

Jon Cusack

John is rumored to be quite the romantic. He’s dated Neve Campbell, Minnie Driver, and multiple other people. Although he’s a total ladies man, he’s not into marriage and no woman had the power to make him change his mind on that subject.

He’s been extremely outspoken about the conventions of marriage, and why he doesn’t believe in getting hitched to showcase your love for someone. And when he’s asked why he hasn’t gotten married, all he says is “Society doesn’t tell me what to do.”

Goldie Hawn

We know that it’s a surprise to find Goldie on this list. She’s been walking the red carpet with Kurt Russell for decades. We’re also super aware that these two have four gorgeous children! However, the one aisle they have not walked down is the one leading to an altar.

Goldie has mentioned that the traditional custom of getting married would’ve left them in a divorce. Think whatever you want about her methods but at the end of the day, they’re still together! That’s a lot to say for a Hollywood couple.

Queen Latifah

The curvey and soft Queen has yet to walk down the aisle! She dated Eboni Nichols for a while but they called quits on their relationship before things turned into the wedding bell phase. They have since got back together again, but who knows if they’ll go the whole nine yards.

Queen Latifah is in no rush, she tells the press that she’ll follow that path if she feels like the time is right, and when she’s ready. She’s so confident that she already bought two wedding rings. One for her and one for her future love. So who knows what will happen.

Al Pacino

Al Pacino is a sought out man. The ladies love him and he’s had multiple girlfriends who are absolutely stunning. He’s dated Beverly D’Angelo and Diane Keaton, however, he’s never tied the knot. Keaton once said “I don’t think a long-term happy marriage would be easy for him.”

And while he hasn’t been married, Pacino has been in long-term relationships. From 2008 until 2018 he dated Argentinian actress Lucila Polak, but they called things quits after their ten-year relationship. Since then, he’s enjoyed being single.

Jenifer Aniston

This is the girl we’re all rooting for. From Brad Pitt to John Mayer, all we’ve wanted was to see her finally happy. Jen did marry Justin Theroux but three years later that ended. They claim that the marriage was lovingly ended and that they plan to maintain respect and love for one another.

Since then, all eyes have been on Jen to see who she falls in love with next – but it seems as though she’s taking some time for herself. The actress hasn’t been spotted with any potential love interests, so we guess she’s pretty happy being single right now.

Owen Wilson

This comedic actor is 48 and unmarried. He says he never aims for marriage because he’s not equipped for this type of relationship. Which is a sad turn of events for women across the world who would do anything to walk down the aisle and meet him at the alter.

Owen says all his relationships go south due to his “lack of focus” and he dated Jade Duell for a while but the two split after she gave birth to his son. Not long after that, he had a fling with his personal trainer and the two had a child.

Miranda Richardson

The English comedian is well-known for roles in “Absolutely Fabulous” and “Outnumbered.” Miranda has never married although she often says that she would like to. We’d like to know if she’s ever been close to finding Mr. Right but she’s very clever about concealing her private life.

In fact, she doesn’t share anything about her life with the public. Which makes it seem as though she prefers to keep away from the public eye and to keep all of her relationships out of the limelight. That’s unusual as an actress, but something to be respected.

Kourtney Kardashian

This Kardashian is known as the most down-to-earth compared to her sisters. On the reality TV show Keeping up With the Kardashians, the actress says she wishes she wasn’t famous and that she could focus more on her family.

Kourtney has three children with her longtime boyfriend Scott Disick. The two have been on and off for years, and while Scott has noted that he wants to marry Kourtney – she’s not into it. At the moment, she’s dating the rockstar Travis Barker and the two seem to be really hitting it off.

Winona Ryder

Winnona is one of the lucky ladies who had the privilege of dating Johnny Depp. Johnny dated a few celebrities here and there but he and Winona got to the point of engagement – and this allowed them to become one of the most iconic celebrity couples of all time.

However, these two had a bit of a dramatic split. Winona also dated a few other big-time celebs including Matt Damon, Chris North, and Val Kilmer. Winona claims that her lack of commitment has to do with the high standards her parents set with a 45-year marriage. Since 2011 she has been in a relationship with Scott Mackinlay Hahn.

Kristin Davis

Kristin is one of the more surprising members on this list. We know her as the marriage type on the famous series Sex and the City. Ironically, Davis actually does not think marriage is important at all! She said she’d only marry someone if she deemed them good enough to be a stepdad to her daughter and her son.

So, she’s raising her adopted kids by herself – and it seems as though being a mother is the most important thing to her. We have no doubts that she’ll welcome a relationship if it comes, but she’s not too fussed about going out there to find it.

Mary-Louise Parker

She and long-term ex-boyfriend Billy Crudup had a son together but never felt the need to get married. Parker decided she wanted more children, even if she was on her own. In 2007, she adopted a daughter. She dated Jeffrey Dean Morgan for a number of years but never tied the knot.

Since then she’s been focusing on her own growth as a person and as an actress, and part of that growth includes transcendental meditation. Mary-Louise is all about grounding herself, and at the moment her life just doesn’t need to include a man.

Halle Berry

Halle Barry did get married in the past. She married and divorced David Justice and Oliver Martinez – and while her divorce to Martinez is still ongoing years after their separation, she’s now single. And she’s come to the realization that marriage is sort of a fairy tale which she’s against.

“[As] women, we go into marriage thinking it’s going to last forever and that this is our prince on a shiny horse. That’s what fairy tales taught me as a kid…and I’m kind of anti-fairy tales today,” she said. So who knows is Halle will ever walk down the aisle or whether she’ll stay unmarried.

Sarah Silverman

Sarah Silverman was almost married to Jimmy Kimmel and seriously dated Michael Sheen. However, the comedian is not interested in getting hitched any time soon – and she has a very serious reason as to why she won’t ever be walking down the aisle.

Silverman doesn’t like the idea of getting the government involved in her relationship. “Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married. Why would I want the govt involved in my love life? Ew,” she Tweeted in 2015. Well, we guess she makes a good point.

Diane Kruger

Diane was married to a French director Guillaume Canet and dated Joshua Jackson for ten years. At this point in her life, she says she has no interest in walking down the aisle. But she’s not exactly single either, as she’s welcomed a child into the world with her partner, Norman Reeedus.

Despite this current relationship, Diane doesn’t believe in making a commitment on a paper. She believes in making a commitment in your heart. “A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning,” she told Glamour.

Lena Dunham

Lena was never against marriage but didn’t marry as a way to protest laws against gay marriage. “The idea of having a celebration that can’t be fully shared among all the people in my life and all the people that we love just doesn’t really feel like a celebration at all,” she said.

And Lena is currently single. She previously dated musician Jack Antonoff for five years, but they called it quits in 2017. Since then, Lena has battled with her health and a new branch of her career which is taking her across the globe. We guess she just doesn’t have time for men.

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts is not a fan of paperwork. She, like many other celebs, feels that the whole making it official with a contract thing is unnecessary. Not only is Naomie happy as a mom with two children from a relationship with Liev Schreiber, but she’s also in committed relationship.

Since 2017 Naomi has been dating Billy Crudup, and the pair seem to be smitten with each other. And while they’ve been together for nearly half a decade now, we won’t be seeing her walk down the aisle anytime soon. She’s not fussed about a big party all for nothing.

Rod Stewart’s lovely daughter, Kimberly, is not married and doesn’t plan on getting married. The part-time actress and reality TV star was engaged at one point. She and her lover were engaged a month after meeting each other.

Like most passionate relationships, it didn’t end well. Today Kimberly has an Ex-Boyfriend who is also the father of her child. However, marriage is off-limits. She doesn’t think it’s that important as she feels like her career and her child should always come first.

Dina Meyer

Most women in their 30’s and ’40s feel pressure to get married and start a family. However, Dina Meyer is an exception to this rule. The stunning actress is almost 50 years old and she hasn’t tied the knot yet. She starred as a Starship Trooper and was in Johnny Mnemonic which kept her schedule pretty packed.

She dated Billy Joel and Shane West in the past but those relationships were not marriage material. Meyer keeps her dating life quite private so we’re not too sure if she’s looking into marriage anytime soon. We’re not even sure if she’s dating anyone as she keeps her personal life together like a closed book.

While the stunning TV actress, Allison Janney, starred on the show Mom as a mother and wife, she’s putting off starting a family of her own in real life. She’s currently single but she’s not shutting out any opportunities, and is open to any new relationships that come her way.

Allison Janney admitted that she has no issues with getting serious if she finds the right guy. She is especially interested in finding someone who would be a great traveling companion as when she’s not working she loves to travel the world and explore new places. She just needs someone to do it with.

Edie Falco

Edie Falco’s fan base tripled after she got a recurring role on the show the “Sopranos.” You also might recognize her from the show, “Nurse Jackie”. Aside from being an actress, Edie Falco is a mother as she adopted two daughters and loves being a single mom.

However, Edie doesn’t rule out marriage. She has admitted that she’s open to anything, but that she is very hesitant to make this type of commitment. Falco says she’s seen so many unhappy marriages, and that makes her scared of getting married herself just in case it ends in hearbreak.

Coco Chanel goes down in history as one of the most fabulous people to live. Her designs are still viewed as some of the best. After all, it’s Chanel! Coco Chanel said she didn’t want to rely on a man, so that’s why she never got serious with one.

Coco was seen with attractive dates but never made her relationships more than casual. Rumor has it; she had a child that was raised by her sister. As far as marriage goes, Coco never wanted that in her life and is proof that you don’t have to have a man by your side to be successful.

Rhimes has been extremely busy producing these hit shows, perhaps that’s why she hasn’t found the time to date around. While she’s welcomed three children into her heart, she hasn’t welcomed a romantic partner just yet.

Yes, the legendary singer, Cher, is not married. The actress is very open about her past love life and has even said that she was dumped by the man she thought was her soul mate. According to her, no has ever excited her as much as he did because he made her feel young and wanted.

Until she finds someone who can do that, she’ll be stepping away from the altar. “I am ready to let love back into my life, although I never think it’s a good idea to look for it. It finds you,’ she says. Who knows what the future holds for this diva? You never know what’s going to happen next with her.

After a near-death experience Demi found herself in the arms of a new fiance, but they broke up after a few months in 2021. Since then Demi has noted that she’s open to anything that comes her way, as she has discovered that she loves people based on who they are, rather than their gender.

This artist has made it clear that she is “single but not available.” Bebe Rexha is not interested in love right now and that makes total sense considering her success in the past year. She has publicly battled some flirty men who sent her private messages.

She outed them on her social media platform because they were married with children. So instead of finding love, she’s calling out the heartbreakers! You go, girl! But when Bebe is open to finding love again, it seems as though she’s not picky. She has described her sexuality as”fluid”.

Shay Mitchell

This actress is one of the most wanted actresses in Hollywood. She is absolutely stunning and surprisingly unmarried. Shay keeps her love life extremely private, so we had no idea she had a boyfriend until she posted a picture of a sonogram and announced that she had a miscarriage in 2018.

But now we know that she’s been dating Matte Babel since 2017, and the couple have finally been successful in welcoming a child into the world. The couple said hello to their daughter Atlas Noa Babel in 2019, and while they have a perfect little family they don’t plan on getting married.

Iggy Azalea

Iggy’s rap career is pretty booming, so she’s got a right schedule. However, she is good at making time for love. She is not opposed to getting married, but she is taking a break. This year she broke up with her boyfriend, DeAndre Hopkins after his infidelity was exposed.

She said it made it hard for her to trust people, but she’s working on it. Iggy has actually welcomed a son into the world with Playboi Carti, but when his infidelities were also exposed, she confirmed their break up and noted that she would be raising their son alone.

Tiffany Haddish

This hilarious comedian was married at one point. She divorced the same man twice and now she’s in a relationship with the rapper Common. But that doesn’t mean that she’s going to get married again. In fact, she seems to be happy in her relationship without the added pressure.

When Tiffany was asked about her relationship status she said she does not even have time for the drama that surrounds weddings. Her success is booming and right now, her love is flowing, and that’s all that she needs. to be pretty content in her life.

Christina Aguilera

The pop icon has had her experiences with heartbreak. She said she knew she had to divorce her husband after he admitted that he cheated on her. Although she was hopeless and thought she would never be able to trust again, she found herself a man who makes her happy. Christina is engaged and ready to try again!

She’s been with Matthew Rutler since 2010, and while they don’t seem to. bein too much of a rush to get hitched we know it’s definitely on the cards. We just hope our invite doesn’t get lost in the post as we’d love to watch Christina say “I do”.

The Modern Family star has definitely blossomed into her own person over the years. She and her boyfriend seem to be on the same page for a while now, but it does not seem like they’ll be married anytime soon.

Although Winter seems pretty open to the concept of tying the not she says she’s putting off marriage for a long time. She is working really hard on herself and dealing with harsh criticism in the tabloids for the way she dresses. All the pressure is making it hard for her to focus on such a serious commitment.

Although she never married, that did not keep Ingraham from starting a family. She is now a proud single mother to her daughter, who she adopted from Guatemala, and her two sons, adopted from Russia. That’s pretty amazing, right?

Oprah Winfrey

The one, the only, Oprah Winfrey accomplished so much in her life, except for planning her own wedding. The magnificent woman is not alone and doesn’t mind getting married. In fact, Oprah is hitting the 30-year mark with her long-time boyfriend Steadman.

Oprah says that marriage after this many years is pointless and that it will put an unnecessary strain on their relationship. While they had planned to get married much earlier on in their relationship, they seem to have permanently postponed their nuptials. A ring just doesn’t matter to them.

Eva Mendes

They have no plan to get married, they don’t see it as a priority right now.

But people around them are constantly asking them when they’re going to get hitched. And while this would annoy other people, it seems these two are used to it by now. They’re happy in their own little private bubble, and they seem to have found a way to drown out the noise.
