It seems as if the western world is turning back the clocks when it comes to medicine. Perhaps this rewind is a result of high priced health care. Or maybe we’re starting to realize that grandma’s remedies were on point the whole time. While this fad continues to grow, it’s important to know which essential oils are fit for your needs. Ginger Essential oil alleviates nausea and stomach discomfort. If you’re the type of person to get motion sick, keep ginger essential oil in your car. When the sickness kicks in, place a few drops in tissue and inhales deep to feel better. Drop some ginger oil in your tea when you’re having any other type of stomach issues. It also reduces headaches, boosts immunity and helps with respiratory issues like asthma. Some people even used as an aphrodisiac. If you had a rough workout, place a few drops of the oil into a bowl of milk, mix it up and pour it into your bath to soothe your muscles.


Lavender essential oil promotes deep relaxation, helps with skin irritation and eases muscle tension. Drop a bit of this soothing oil in your night cream for some skin support. Myrrh essential oil is listed as a healing remedy in books that date back for centuries. Myrrh is known for its mouth healing properties. People drop a bit of it into their toothpaste to promote oral health. It’s also great for anti-inflammatory purposes. Use it in a cold compress to decrease any swelling. If you don’t find myrrh in the ingredients of your night serum, drop some myrrh in it to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Sweet Orange

Tea Tree

It’s super important to remember that sandalwood is not one of the essential oils you can ingest!


Grapefruit essential oil is a pregnant person’s best pal. The scent alone is an appetite suppressant that kills your sugar cravings. The sweet yet sharp smell energizes the body and eases alleviates headaches. It supports the immune system and helps relax tense muscles. If your pup keeps coming in the house with fleas, clean him up then rub diluted grapefruit essential oil on his fur to prevent them from coming back. Grapefruit essential oil helps you rock your summer shorts. This oil mixed with coconut oil treats cellulite. Just rub the mixture on your cellulite before bed, and you’ll be showing legs for days. Just be sure to wash it all off before going in the sun.

Chamomile essential oil has multiple benefits for the body and mind. It induces relaxation and calms an anxious mood. Chamomile tea is famous for its ability to make you sleepy. It reduces nausea and motion sickness. Chamomile fights, indigestion, acid reflux, and diarrhea. It is a decorated oil in the pain department.
